#jun #looks #tied up tight
Seriously. I like how it’s just sort of draped loosely around the others. Oh that Jun, so thorough~

;3; I am reblogging this even though I do NOT know the whole thing and kitkatgrl16 just broke my heart to pieces.
I was doing laundry with my mom today and I was singing this song out loud. Haha.
So I finally got caught up with last week’s VS Arashi. Initially, I was really excited to see Arashi get some international guests on their show, but after seeing this episode I was just reminded of the general awkward kuuki that emanates when Hollywood stars meet them.
First of all, I do recognize that Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones probably had hella busy schedules since they were promoting a movie, but to make Arashi wait for them was a little tacky. In Japanese culture, it’s rude to make someone wait for you. Especially if you’re a kouhai. If you’re “ranking” is lower than the person you’re meeting, you’re expected to arrive at your meeting place hella earlier. Maybe even an hour before.
I shared Ohno’s sentiments when he said that he’d rather that the guests not come at all. Aiba’s reaction was for the lulz I guess, but I can see the same resentment regardless. Of course they had to turn back on their words the moment they realize who the guests were. =\
Then Sho brought up “Letters from Iwo Jima,” I guess to make that Hollywood connection with the guests. The camera panned to Nino, who was just shaking his head in embarrassment, kind of a silent entreaty to Sho to stfu don’t bring it up damnit.
I don’t think Nino should ever feel embarrassed about his work, even among bigwigs like Will Smith or Tommy Lee Jones. It’s just frustrating how I see them belittle themselves whenever they meet Hollywood stars. Get a grip, boys. You bring rainbows, sparkles, and sunshine to people’s lives. I don’t think anyone else can do it better.
